This exciting mosaic project started with an idea
to create a translucent stained glass wall to separate the main
living quarters from the music room in a visually stunning way.
Working together with the client and contractor,
the sliding door concept was developed to maximize the area
of the mosaic, which spans the entire wall of 15 feet. The door
panels each hold 2 mosaic panels and the wall can be "slid"
in either direction to create a 10 foot opening.
The room contained by the mosaic is windowless
which makes the translucent aspect of this stained glass mosaic
brilliantly lit with colour.
